I think it'll just be called BBC Three News.

I'm not wildly keen on 8.30pm, guess I'll have to wait and see what happens.

Im a lot happier that its moving in some respects.
BBC Three News or whatever its calling itself now needs to establish itself it that slot. A few promo's wouldn't hurt either.
It is quite arguably the best network prooduced news programme on the beeb. I would love to see BBC1 Net.News come from the same sort of studio, its dark and atmospheric and brill!
Perhaps they could fill the half-hour with Destination Three, slightly tonedown. Maybe music focused. Or perhaps show Eastenders early.
Just an idea......

I really wish they'd stop showing EastEnders on BBC3, it's bad enough that the schedules are jam packed with populist soap trash!

The schedules are being jiggled about so The Comic Side of 7 Days is on at 7pm, followed by Little Angels/Trauma and/or yet MORE repeats of Liquid Assets!!! Oh, and EastEnders Revealed is on every now and then as well.

As for promotions - HA! BBC3 seem not to have a policy of promoting flagship programmes, they didn't for Liquid News & Celebdaq, so I wouldn't be holding my breath for any trailers!

Slightly odd to move it AGAIN- but it's very hard to register a good audience with a lead in audience of ZERO- who actually waits for the channel to start up at 7pm?

It needs to stay at 8:30 now for a long time...it's a good time given the chance to try in some imaginative lead in programmes at 8pm.

8.30pm is a good slot (though immediately after BBC 4 news).

There are no general news bulletins really between 7pm and 10pm - so this will be something right in the middle of peak time.

Just hope this doesn't mean that BBC3 move the crap they currently show at 8.30pm to 7pm.

I've never seen "The Comic Side of 7 Days" before, but judging by the title, it sounds more like a weekly show rather than a daily one. How is this going to work?

I do think it's a better slot, though, and I'm more likely to watch it if there's nothing else on at 8.30. At the moment I usually watch parts of the 6 on BBC One, so I'm all newsed out by the time the 7 O'Clock News comes on.

I think I've seen Comic Side of 7 Days on late night BBC4, it is funny but I wonder if they'll be repeats?

That's what I was thinking. I've seen "Don't Watch That, Watch This" on BBC Four, and I presume this would be a similar sort of thing. But if they're repeats, they don't seem as funny as they aren't so current.

The move from 7pm to 8.30 is only for two weeks as a trial. It is hard to get an audience from zero but in the past few weeks the show has been beating both Sky News and News 24 in audience terms. It's the only news programme to gain an audience for it's channel ... all the others lose viewers when they come on.

I might be missing something, but that sounds weird: a flagship programme is finally getting a solid "fanbase", and growing viewership, so the gods upstairs decide to disrupt things by shifting it??

It's interesting to hear it's beating Sky News and News 24, especially for 7pm when lots of people are getting home from work.

7pm is not a great time for the News Channels as Channel Four News is on - and real news junkies will often watch that.

True, my (only?) fear is that by 8.30 most people might be too news'ed out and be settling into the evening to watch/do other things?
