I'd just like to praise the 7 O'Clock News which must be one of the funniest things on BBC Three!

Last night's programme ended with a piece on a White House Christmas message which featured Barney, the first dog, and a new dog which was coming to the White House.

The image at the end with the two presenters just stood there was great - you knew Eddie was going to say something sarcastic, but he just said, "What a nice pair of puppies" just before the out sting.

Fantastic.

Typical Eddie. If you liked that, listen to the end of PM on radio 4.

Why can't they put Eddie on the BBC News at 10? Get rid of the Welsh bloke. He's rubbish. Eddie has a great voice, charisma, a professional and approachable style. He really is a star and yet they put him on BBC Rubbish -- sorry THREE. Confused

The 7 o'clock News is probably the best bulletin the BBC produce, although I still think a 15 minute Newsbeat at 11pm would be better suited to BBC3.

I've said this before, but I'd personally replace the standard BBC 1 bulletins with the "7 o'clock News" at 6pm and Newsnight at 10pm. The World would then air on BBC 2 at 8pm, with Newsbeat on BBC3 at 11pm (plus 60 seconds).

Sorry Nicky, I'm usually a loyal viewer but was busy last week around 7!

There's something about Paddy's interview technique that reminds me of Peter O'Hanraha-hanrahan at times, but that's no bad thing. It's great to have a news program which isn't dry in presentation (although usually very much so in humour)

Easily the most watchable bulletin on telly.

Paddy is also sitting in for Richard Park on LBC 97.3 on Sunday morning,
