Just caught the end of the 7 o'clock news - strange to see Chris Eakin presenting a show like this.

Indeed, was most surprised to see him, thought Paddy would have continued doing it with Eddie still away (I guess). That said he wasn't bad... although it did miss Eddie's sarcasm or Paddy's... well, just utter bizarreness...

He doesn't seem like the most obvious choice of stand-in.. but then again, who is?

Stephen Cole, perhaps? If only for the slightly amusing way he tries to appear 'hip' and 'cool' when presenting click online?

It really annoys me that a publically funded tv company has channels that everyone can't watch, but to hear that my favourite presenter was on one that I can't get - well..... Mad And don't bother telling me to go get digital, if I could afford it, I would. Oh, well.....

You can now get a Freeview box for under 50 pounds - it's not really that expensive is it?

I live 7 miles north of Cardiff, and I can't get Freeview!

I've got a Sky box hooked up to a dish, but without a card (They don't do the Solus cards anymore!), I can only get the BBC channels and a few crappy others. I already pay £25 a month for broadband, and I'm not adding another £20 (the price of the second cheapest Sky package) to my multimedia expenses.

Of course, if anyone has a Sky solus card they would like to send me, I'd happily pay for P&P and give you a few quid for it too! Wink

Sod them (thought Lindley was awful without a script last week btw, when he was in the studio... never heard so many "erm"s), I want to know where Paddy is! Assuming he's Eddie's standin anyway. I think we should be told...

Now that I've calmed down, I have a question. Why do you think it odd for Chris to present this show, how is this news different from N24?
