Just found a new "news" channel has appeared. Well, it's in the news section.

There is only sound on the left audio channel. Levels are generally very low but occasionally very high (be warned). From tuning in there was a static weather caption, then a commercial break which consisted of three ads in a row for various Vectone telephony services. Bear in mind this is a Vectone "news channel".

The lead story on the "Bangladesh Focus" programme was a bout a bomb blast in the country. The newsreader does not appear in vision, and there was no video, so we were treated to a picture of a map (looks like it was cut out of an atlas) of Bangladesh, then a pic of a government minister who appears to have been injured. Then back to the map.

Oh and they've got a sting, and they're determined to use it, appearing about once a minute (at high level).

They also run 4 really rubbish asian language "music" channels from channel 830 onwards. They just show adverts for phone cards and have these awful presenters that I think they picked up from local 6th form colleges.

Wow, that sounds even worse then EuroNews! I have seen a few News programmes/services from the Middle East and I can I was impressed, as standards are the same as here in the UK, Star News stands out, though I know thats backed by Murdoch.

You should see Star Sports as good as Sky Sports, if not better!
