Let's just hope BBC News have a more innovative way of presenting things by then. Let's also hope that presenters are standing up all over the studio, the countdown images have been updated, the ticker design is more innovative, and that the studio is bigger. Let's also hope the channel will be renamed News 24.

I can imagine Paxman, Huw Edwards, Fiona Bruce and Dimbleby arm-in-arm swaying whilst singing "it's the end of the world as we know it" over and over again. I can also imagine the BBC News Channel having technical difficulties and Sky News criticising any and all Labour governments for the end of the world.
