Not a clue? We’ll see where the seat totals end up. There will be some big names losing seats for several parties except for Sinn Fein and the Greens.

My money is on another election. Can't see any of the parties agreeing.

David McCullagh just subtly said that before RTÉ Exit Poll coverage ended.
If my short-term memory serves me right, he said something like “If I were any of the political parties I wouldn’t be throwing away posters anytime soon, they could be needing them again.”

Not a hope in hell, the parties do not want to fight another one. 1982 was the year of two elections, I feel it will be a confidence and supply arrangement again or a coalition.

In 2016 they did not want another election after that result, and thus created was the Fine Gael led minority government - history can be repeated again in 2020.

For fear of getting into Politics, rather than Presentation, which will be fascinating, especially with the delayed vote in one constituency which almost certainly will be swayed by whatever transpires in the other constituencies. My suspicion is that FG and FF will link up with others to form a coalition to thwart SF. If these exit poll findings are correct I feel that a Martin led Government is all but certain. Varadkar's gamble has failed.

The current analysis on Virgin Media 1 is far superior to RTÉ's offering streaming online and on News Now. RTÉ NN is in desperate need of a new set of graphics. The frame around the picture is dreadful.

In terms of presentation, I am looking forward to seeing RTE coverage tomorrow - I feel they are going to bounce back and forth between Studio 3 which they were in tonight and Studio 5.

RTE News Now is about as stable as the upcoming Irish government - it could be on the chopping block by summer 2020, so they are not investing any more into that channel.

Yes,v you're probably right. Still, the minimal ticker on VM1 illustrates how less is more. The screen on RTÉ NN is cluttered with completely irrelevant pictures and headlines.

There was no delayed vote , it was decided that it was better for that result to be challenged than the whole election .
