Sophie Raworth will be building a virtual map at an "undisclosed central London location" which is presumably Broadcasting House given those photos of the projection tests
I think that explains this map.

As Broadcast pointed out this week, the Beeb are doing the pooled feed from Cameron's count, Sky from Miliband's count and ITV from Clegg and Farage's counts.
Some BBC trucks are involved in providing various pool feeds (mainly from the election counts for the main party leaders), but I think that's about the extent of it. Other broadcasters are using their own trucks, plus some ITV regional trucks and Globecast as well I think.

Forgive the pedantry, but I'm not sure what's 'virtual' about it. It's an actual map.

I was just repeating The Guardian, though given the projections they were testing on BH there's probably going to be a virtual map too.

Reminds me of what NBC do during the US elections, with the map on the ice rink at Rockefeller Center.
Sorry - my pedantry was directed purely at the Guardian - or whoever told them it was 'virtual'!
I like the fact they're doing it, though.

While there are no regional opts on ITV overnight, ITV News London have tweeted that they'll be interactive all night updating their part of the ITV News website with results.
