Does BBC world do its own thing on Election Night or does it take the BBC1 programme? I will be in Denmark on election night!

BBC World News did simulcast the 2010 election programme from the start. I don't remember when BBC World News stopped the simulcast though.

What did World do during the regional opts? (I think there were opts through the night in 2010?)

I think the only regional opt-outs on the night in both 2005 and 2010 were just the results overlaid on screen.

Presumably the same as BBC HD, as was, did.

I think BBC One HD had launched by the time of the previous election?

There's a video on YouTube of it being shown on BBC HD.

You're right, didn't launch until later that year - carry on!

Did Border Scotland get the SNP episode?

According to the STV Article on the programme, they did.

If there's no definitive result, I hear that the backup plan is for Miliband, Cameron, Clegg and Farage to go on Tipping Point.

Farage on Tipping Point: "I'll stay away from the double counters thank you Ben, The population is high enough as it is!"

Interesting that in the (very) provisional schedules ITV will stick with their election coverage longer than BBC1. BBC1's coverage is scheduled to wrap up at 1pm on the Friday, while ITV goes through to 4pm.

DigiGuide shows BBC 1 coverage through to 18:00 (including on BBC 2 while the Cenotaph is covered). Billed as Election coverage until 22:00 on BBC News channel.

Sky 1 simulcasts Sky News 06:00-12:00
Pick TV's 06:00 simulcast is extended until 09:00.

Schedules now show ITV as having a VE Day special from 2.30 until 3.30 - so that's longer than BBC's programme (45 minutes).

Once again there is a very BIG difference: Northern Ireland has no UK parties starting in NI, Personnel i think that debate should never been shown in NI in the first place.
Why? One of those on the GB debates are ultimately going to be their prime minister, even if they can't vote for them.

Your just answered your own question, there cant vote for those people. Its true one of them will be PM but its up to the parties to decided that..

That is a stupid and idiotic point of view. Are you trying to say that as a citizen of the UK I should not have the right to watch a political debate that impacts directly upon how I am goverened? Even by your standards that is ridiculous! The amount of legislation that is reserved by Parliamnent, and which the NI Assembly has no say over, far out numbers the rather token legislation that the Assembly passes.

If a Northern Irish party is promising to work with certain parties, I think it's pretty obvious why Northern Irish viewers should be able to see the British debates.
