UTV Leaders' Debate is to be held on 28th April - no news about BBC NI or ITV/BBC Wales Debates.

Does anybody else not like the BBCs Election Branding, the simply yet in my opinion dated look of this years coverage?

I like the logo, but the way they're using it is a bit uninspired.

Remember ITV and BBC both have studios in that building.

no - Dock10 have studios in that building. They're a joint venture between SIS and Peel Media. ITV and the BBC just rent them.
(of course, the BBC have a couple of small studios - the NWT/Breakfast one, Sports news, and a few radio ones; ITV have news, and Corrie is over on Trafford Wharf Road.)

did anyone else spot the lighting effect on the podiums - they appear blue, but the reflections are coloured. I'm still not entirely sure how they did that...

So just short of 7m watched the debate on ITV last night, 3m short on 2010 but the most watched show of the night.

Was that just on ITV/STV/UTV, or do the figures also include BBC News and Sky News?
Stuart and Live at five with Jeremy gave kudos

I was just about to ask the same question. It's an interesting lighting effect.

Also, I note that tonight's programme was credited to "ITV News and Current Affairs", not ITN.

I think it was the same in 2010

It wasn't made by ITN. It was made by ITV Studios. 'Tonight' has the same endcap - you can only tell whether its ITN or ITV Studios by what it's copyrighted as at the very bottom.

Julie Etchingham did say during the debate it would be shown across the UK...

I expect it will be shown at 10:45 on ITV & STV and in prime time on UTV

Be interesting to see what kind of viewing figures that gets in GB...and indeed, whether UTV Ireland decides to show this one, given they opted out of last nights debate (although there were at least four other channels available in ROI that were showing it, including RTE!).
