I think it looks worse than last time, to be honest. The signs looks hastily stuck on and the STV and UTV logos either side are untidy and make it look ugly.
I think the set looks good, but agree about the logos.
I'm guessing internal politics within Channel 3 prevented ITV from only using the ITV logo, but inclusion of the STV and UTV logos (however appropriate) does look somewhat chaotic and jumbled.
Looks like the old STV logo appears on the lecturns, even if their current logo is effectively the same with more of a curve to it. I think content uploaded to ITV-ran YouTube channels uses the old logo too.

Baring in mind the format of the debate was only decided three weeks ago, it was certainly hastily put together!
My favourite comparison is to Fifteen-to-One - the lecterns even have three lights on. If I was running it, I'd have a leader lose a life for the following reasons
Nicola Sturgeon:
every time she mentions Scottish independence or the Barnett forumla
Natalie Bennett:
every time she coughs and every time wind power is mentioned as a solution to something
Nigel Farage:
every time he mentions "the political elite" or mentions fags and/or pints.
Nick Clegg:
every time he mentions being in the centre ground, and every time he avoids talking about tuition fees
Leanne Wood:
every time she ingratiates herself to the SNP leader or says "I agree with Nicola"
David Cameron:
every time he says "long-term economic plan" and every time he mentions Alex Salmond's pocket.
Ed Miliband:
every time he mentions that you can only choose between two parties, and every time he makes an excruciating reference to bacon sandwiches.
All leaders:
every time a question is avoided, and every time they end their speaking time with a catchphrase.
It'd probably cut down the running time a bit, but even those not paying much attention could see how each leader was doing.
ITV studio looks to teal but hope it works on screen. Think I like the last set best. It would have been nice if they colour picked the logos to match the lecterns colours. Like red itv logo for labour and blue for conservative etc. Would have been a nice little detail.
I am guessing the debate is live from HQ1? Is the media centre in HQ2?
MediacityUK has been looking great today and it explains why they've decided to do it there rather than at The London Studios, there wouldn't have been enough room for all the news crews and entourage in London. I bet they'll be getting more studio bookings in future.
ITV certainly making up for their entirely un branded debate last time, with massive ITV logos on every surface. Carefully chopped out of shot on the News at Five on BBC News but fully in shot on the ITV Evening News.
Considering it's supposed to be a collective effort and considering how thanks to Cameron and his cronies we've only got one debate, if you can it that, I think ITV have gone way over the top with the branding - and indeed I'm surprised they'd want their brand so closely associated with some of the people on that stage tonight. It also makes it looks like they're bidding to be the leader of ITV.
