Unsurprisingly there's some slightly awkward pauses on the BBC News Channel going into and out of the ad breaks. They have a reporter in the corridors outside the studio by the looks of it.
Quite considerate of Sky/C4 to position their astons (including text wrapping) to fit with the BBC ticker and Election logo in the corner.
I think that's done to benefit any re-broadcast on Sky News and to cater for their ticker which sits at the same height on screen. The text does overspill into the BBC Election aston box, hence it keeps being removed.
And then the BBC News astons keep appearing and disappearing when C4/Sky add their own question captions, then change to a split screen with Twitter comments
(Not saying it's annoying, but just pointing out, even though it's obvious)

At the time I posted there was a caption which was wrapped to two lines in a perfect position for the BBC box
I've not visited it to confirm but I imagine over on Digital Spy they're ripping Kay Burley to shreds.
Not for being biased towards anyone, but for referring to the next debate as being on "ITV1".
I watched on C4 - did Sky use their own graphics? As the ones on C4 were in the corporate font and seemed to be based on the old 10 O'Clock Live graphics. I imagined that Sky were using their own packages to go into and out of breaks, too - was I right?

Sky and Channel 4 used the same packages with the Channel 4 font.

If there had been any doubt about the location of ITV's election debate, David Dimbleby confirmed it the end of tonight's Question Time. Next week's QT will take place in Salford, where the politicians will be, according to Dimbleby, hot-footing it from the debate spin room.
