the Commons and the Lords have just had their last debates of the session, and Prorogation is about to begin.
BBC Parliament have wheeled in Daniel Brittain again to commentate on proceedings. He's no Dimbleby, but he is getting quite excited.

I can't work out what their election symbol is meant to be – can anyone enlighten me?

In my view the only thing it bears any resemblance to is a stylised open ballot box, and that's stretching things a little.

It looks like a 3D cube (i.e. a ballot box as DVB said) but with the image cropped into a square tile.

Is that a drone that Sky are using to relay some pretty ropey looking pictures from around the Sky studios complex ?

On the morning after polling day, Good Morning Britain will bring the first news of the night’s dramatic events to the nation as it wakes up. Anchored from the Good Morning Britain studio, the programme will be fastest to air with the key live results from around the country, supported by a team of ITV News correspondents, reporting history as it happens.

The statement in bold is a very brave one for that programme!

You'd hardly expect them to say "We will bring you the results after Sky and the BBC have announced them with a producer delivering the news to GMB presenters as they watch the live feed's from the other channel's" would you?

Nonsensical point that, key results will be featured simultaneously. ITV News have historically used internal count centre results, where they've occurred, admittedly this is a dying feature now, prior to any public declaration 'outside'.
