They've just done a replay of the original countdown and title sequence at 5:30pm, exactly 20 years after the original. Laughing

That was lovely! Thanks to all involved. The music is still brilliant. Huw didn't like that they used the phrase 'The Now O'Clock News' to launch it!

I know some on here will like this, if you didn't catch it...

Was hoping Huw was going to say 'back to our 10 year old branding' but he didn't. Very Happy

It launched the day after my 6th birthday so didn't catch it at the time, but my word what amazing graphics and music! Still looks fresh and modern even today. And who'd have thought the first 2 correspondents to appear, Ben Brown and Huw Edwards, would go on to become successful presenters on the channel.

Looks as though there's still more to come before 6…

EDIT: Wow! It looks as though clouds in 1997 were not yet available in widescreen! Very Happy

I may be stuck in the past (turning 44 this month) but the flags still do it for me.

Unfortunately, the TV is back on Nick Jr. Anything more before six?

More flags into the Six.

Flags used before the News at Six.

Still looks amazing after two decades.

Ultimate launch slogan was BBC4's "Everybody needs a place to think".

Very nice retro countdown into the Six.

Nice montage of old show titles before the NA6, with the flags intro once again. Nothing into the actual NA6, though.
