Sorry. I wasn't thinking straight. All I saw was the ratings and no explanation as to why that rating was given
Haven't you posted that YouTube video before? Or maybe it was a screenshot you've posted, but I'm sure I saw a multi-coloured ABC logo from you in this forum before?
I suppose the obvious thing to say in response to what you ask is that it wouldn't have been widescreen and you probably wouldn't have had the letters "flashing" on like that. Of course whether ABC would have kept that logo by the point in your timeline is up for debate but that's beside the point.
Best thing I would say if you want to try and mimic something that looks like its from the late 1980s or early 1990s is get yourself on YouTube and look at actual examples of what actually went out for inspiration. You have a wide range of things to look at, from the impressive things Central were doing with their cake right down to the very dated looking segments of VT TV-am had actually introduced in 1983 and were for the most part still using in 1990 to open their programme with.
Thanks for the input.Youve hit the nail on the head. There are plenty of videos and plenty of tutorials but they’re YouTube based and I work better from text and pictures.
I admit I'm a lousy mocker and I want to get better. So I place what level mocks I am capable of doing on YT and say "can anyone help" which isn't easy for me as I'm autistic.
And while the feedback has been there and I am grateful for it what I want is not my hand held but some pointers to resources and tips
Some of you may remember a mocker on Youtube several years ago called TV Mocks 2008 (later TV Mocks 2010). His mocks were bloody incredible. I did ask him for advice and never heard back which pissed me off no end.
I want to learn and the only way to learn is to ask for help and then learn from the help. But if people don't respond then that is pretty soul destroying.
I want to to make it clear that I'm not moaning. What I'm doing is explaining my situation. I would have said something on a sticky but I wasn't able to.
So once again thanks for the feedback and I will take the feedback on board.
