For those who don't know, the WABC Eyewitness News in NYC was the first station to use the Cool Hand Luke music sequence as its news theme. A variation of that theme is currently the theme music of Australia's Nine News.

In this quick video, the current opening sequence was mixed with an edit of the Nine News theme, similar to the one currently used by Nine's Sydney station, TCN-9.

More like from any Nine News from around the country! They all use the same theme. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, etc. Including WIN TV in the regional areas!

By "Sydney edit" I mean that the opening 3-5 seconds being omitted, as shown here.
