UTV Live

I've never contributed to this part of TVF before... but I have a guilty secret to admit - I have a go at making mocks, I never really share them. But I thought I'd give it a go with an idea I had...

Based on some feedback on the new UTV Live graphics, I've done some images of how I feel it could have looked - inspired by both the previous and newly-implemented package, and with I feel a greater degree of consistency.

Firstly, my take on the show's logos; two version - one for short bulletins/Live at Six; and one for UTV Live Tonight:





Then, examples of captions; again, with slight variations for use on UTV Live Tonight:







And finally, a selection of astons:










I'm ready for the feedback... I think.

Overall, they generally are fine, and suit UTV. A few minor points:

Firstly, the text on the straps is closer to the top of the straps frame than the bottom. It really needs to be in the middle of the strap.

Secondly, the images in the FTSE and Rugby team slides look a bit squished, no? And, also, maybe one of the reds in that gradient is a bit bright?

Otherwise, they're fine.

Hmm... You haven't been using Office 2007 for those bevels have you?

I actually think these are very good; clear and nicely proportioned - looks like it would fit right in.

Main issue: the vertical alignment of the text on the blue straps needs shifting down to centre them.

Some lesser points: I can't be sure if the top of the text in the red lower half of the straps is just a bit close to the upper half. On the football squad caption, you might want to leave a bit more vertical space between the names - to look tidier and make more use of the red space. And the red does look on the bright side; I don't think it needs to be any brighter than the current darkest shade in the gradient. But I think make the adjustments and you'll be pretty much there.
