Okay, try to work out some kind of framing system for pick of the day.
Perhaps lines maybe a shaded background alternating, like this
http://images.pcworld.com/howto/graphics/105312-10aol_excel_altshade.gif
if you know what I mean, separate them a bit.

Okay, thanks for your suggestions. The Main Channel Guide is currently being developed, and for each channel they've got their own iPhone-esque logo, like the application logo, but the channels.

However, I don't quite get what you mean by framing.

Well, separation of each programme, rather than leaving it all in one lump.

Hi all,

I've previewed it in working condition on an iPod Touch and would like to say that what I see on the computer is a very rough outline of what's on the iPod. On the iPod each item is divided, the header is in Helvetica Bold, and it looks much better. Will synch iPod later and show you what it looks like.

Sorry, how are you going to get new data to the app? I hope it's a feed, for I certainly wouldn't want to have to update the app every week.

It's indeed a feed, so it updates itself.

On the other side, does anyone know an RSS Feed for ITV's Schedules, as I can't find one and they're necessary channels in anybodies eyes.

Sorry to bump this thread but I was wondering if there was any heads up on development of this web app or has it ground to a halt?

Oh no, it's still going, very much so. If you had an iPhone, and you downloaded an app called 'Red Foundry', and then typed in the code when you start the app that was: 165 - 357, you'd get a sneaky peak at what's going down.

Does this use IP Geolocation? I noticed the listings were showing Midlands Today and Central Tonight.

Unfortunately no, that's down to TV Bleb's feed giving Midlands and Central as the local news.

Oh. Do they do regional variants? Because you could add a feature where it recognises the IP address of the user and it selects the relevant feed. I'm not sure whether that will work with 3G Networks but it could use the iPhone's GPS.

I could indeed. I'll check Bleb's feeds. I'm adding in category's as a test now too.
