TV Forum mock

A slightly different post from the rest of the mocks in the gallery.

This time, the subject I am mocking in question is TV Forum itself.

The current logo has been in use for 11 years now and while it isn't a bad logo by any means, it could do with an update. So I present to you this:



It's... not too different. But there are quite a few changes:

1. The TV part has been updated. The letters are now connected and more block like instead of a paint stroke style. The commas in the V have also been changed slightly.

2. The "Forum" text typeface has been changed from what I assume is ITC Souvenir to a custom wordmark that I whipped up myself.

Overall I'm really proud of this mock. I think it could make a nice new logo.

A new TV Forum logo, hm? Looks very modern indeed. To be fair, this is very good, and the site should adopt that logo, given the recent interface revamp! Good work there, bro!

I see that this takes inspiration from an idea I whipped up two months ago...

I wonder whether the mods have considered changing it...?

I'm not really sure what to say about this. It's a pretty decent logo and I'm willing to give it 4/5. My biggest concern is that a new logo isn't necessarily needed. I've always been of the mindset that if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

That's my mindset too at times - but it wouldn't hurt to explore what a new logo could look like.

An animating logo I whipped up in PowerPoint
