You've spent a maximum of 1 hour 22 minutes on that mock. I'm guessing a lot less though. And it shows.

It's obvious as well that you think the stand out thing from wally's mock is that there's a noise filter applied. It's not. The noise is part of a much wider set of effects added to make a complete image. If you don't recognise them, or don't know how to apply them, don't apply the noise. It just makes your poor mock look even worse.

So we've had the bad, the good and the ugly.

Now that is rather excellent. I'd like to see you expand on that Wally.

As for your new additions Luke, I'd like to thank you for giving me a splitting headache.

I do like that!
An early 80s Three East Television logo is more likely to have looked something like this:

i.e. something straight out of 1970!

This is like the Ch4 ident crashed through the TV channel wall and smashed in to the ident in 1985! its not bad as such but ............................... Confused Confused

Would echo that... Wally please put your mocks in their own thread so we can rate them. ...and let these crappy **** god awful mocks die.

Wally gets a Very Happy 4/5

Luke gets an Mad 1/5 <-- if I could give LESS I would... this deserves a Minus 10.

To give lukesams3 credit, apart from the fact that he has missed the point of how wally's Three East logo was supposed to work, his redesigns are actually pretty good. Though I don't understand the purpose for the crap signal effect he added, unless all those images were captured by someone living in Great Yarmouth whose aerial happened to be pointing towards the floor for 16 years.

I've never known anyone to look at a good mock (in this case, Wally's 70s caption style logo) and then completely misjudge exactly what makes it good, quite as severely as Luke has managed. And 'severe' is definitely the word.

In akin to wally_weekly, I have modified the rest of my mocks. Here they are now!

Oh cripes.
1986 is, as far as I'm concerned, a rip-off of wally_weekly's posting above. That is not a good thing to start doing. The only saving grace for it is your adaption of wally_weekly's is considerably worse that his brilliant effort and I can only presume, for some odd reason, you (Luke) want it to look like an off-air capture from a transmitter outside the terrestrial broadcast area.

wally, would you mind posting these in a new thread (the above is excellent, by the way)? It's a shame to see them mixed in with the OP's.
