Both the BBC and ITV run Morning programs on weekdays and I think that both of them have left room for a third. Below is the title card for a new one, proposed for Channel Four. It would be a blend between the successful Breakfast program on BBC and This Morning on ITV- but running earlier. I would begin around 6:00am and finish between 9:00am and 10:00am. With different sections, like Soap news, Celebrity Gossip, Current affairs, Celebrity interviews and a Food section where the presenters could have Breakfast etc.

It was created on GIMP and I want to create some on screen graphics in the next few days. Opinions would be great and I welcome constructive criticism. It has taken me four tries to get the design right so I hope you like it!

It's a stock picture of a cereal bowl with some grammatically incorrect text over it and a picture of the Channel 4 logo you found off Wikipedia.

Great.

Well looking at some of the things that you do, it's a lot more than you're capable of. I would rather you judged the concept rather than just the image, because I haven't finished the mock.

Well, I've been told. I never realised my video editing skills were nothing compared to slapping a 'concept' image up of some text and bowl of cereal.

If it was just a fantasy TV show, you could have posted it somewhere like the Daybreak thread or in the TV Home Forum. The concept of the show isn't that bad - it's just that, it's exactly like Daybreak was and it didn't work.

As for the mock being a concept - if it isn't finished, don't post it. Simple as that.

Two main differences, It will be presented by two established presenters who have a wide appeal and character. Secondly, It will be a homely, comfortable style, like this Morning or Saturday Kitchen.

Wanted to have others opinions on the mock before I went on to create other parts for the mock. Simple.

It's a mocks forum. For you to post finished mocks. Of the graphic design variety.

You wouldn't submit half of a post in the main forum. If it's unfinished keep it to yourself until it is. Then you may expect to receive ideas for improvement.

It's a two way street - if you're not willing to pull the weight at the beginning, why should anyone else be interested in your "concept"?

how do I delete this thread then??

Plus when you decide to insult people criticising your work rather then asking them why they're criticising you, you're doing yourself no favours, neither for your mock nor yourself.

Even the name seems slightly too similar to the Andrew Marr show, which is just 'am' on some of the OSG, isn't it?

I think, and please correct me if I'm wrong, that that is a leftover from the original show's name 'Sunday AM' - which I'm guessing was supposed to stand for Andrew Marr as well as ante meridiem, but presumably people didn't get the play on words or Marr wanted his name in the show's title somehow, so it became The Andrew Marr Show. The graphics didn't change, so the logo was slightly changed:

Groan... Please can people stop doing mocks of non-existant tv programmes... it is completely pointless.

There are plenty of existing programmes that can be mocked.

I think we are all aware that GIMP isn't a great image editing software, but you can do much better work on it than that.
