Hi. Here are some graphics from Slash TV. No idents, as I haven't really got any decent ideas.

(Also, I know it's been over a week since I promised the update to my Sky News graphics, but I threw it away after my attempts to include a new Sky Sports-style logo turned out badly)

That font is awful.

It's a custom font.

That's not what I was trying to do.

Doesn't mean it isn't awful. I don't really know how to comment to be honest. What is each graphic for? When/Where would they be used?

I think the design of the technical error slide is alright - possibly some of your best work and the clock and ticker for the morning news doesn't look too bad either. There's still a lot of little inconsistencies though like the breaking news strap which is the only thing with the text right to the edge of the screen. The advice line information isn't vertically centred in the white trapezium. And so on I'm sure you get he jist.

Most of the first graphics are in programme pointers, with designs for viewer tweets and identifying background music. There's a bar during ad breaks displaying how many ads are left, and the last few slides are pretty self-explanatory.

Dull. Just dull.

Extremely dull, you've gone a massive step backwards IMO. I don't really see where this concept is going. I think you should start trying to mimic/recreate channel branding currently on air, until you get familiar with what 'looks good' and then you can start developing your own.

Personally at this point I would say put your slash logo bottom right in one place and leave it there. Build the other elements around it. You're clearly adding it in later what looks like the right place but I can tell just from looking at "Eight coming soon" it's a different size and position to the rest of the DOGs here (I presume it's meant to be a DOG).

Oh and for your information - 0800 numbers are free from ALL landlines regardless of the provider. Mobiles used to charge normal rate for those calls with one exception, but now 0800 numbers are free from mobiles.

When's the channel launching? What hours are being broadcast?

The whole Slash TV project is very confusing. The colours seem to change with every edit you make, there seems to be no real brand identity and it all changes so often it's just a bit stupid to be honest.

My advise to you would be to keep it very simple. From all of the mocks you have done that I've seen, very little of it has really worked when it comes the look of it, so I think for you by keeping it simple this will help it to look best. Get rid of unnecessary things: Spotify Graphic, Twitter Graphic, 'More at slashnews.com' etc. The BBC keeps their branding on screen very simple: BBC One doesn't even have anything on screen when programmes are playing. To me, you should focus on a really simple and then design things like break-bumpers and idents (they can be still). As dbl suggested perhaps try to recreate current brands that currently exist and/or use these for inspiration when creating ones for Slash TV. Also look on the forum at designs that have received a good rating and use these for inspiration.

If you enjoy it, that is the main thing. However, if you are looking to improve I really would look at what people are saying about your mocks and at least see what it looks like when you make changes. Of all of the designs that you've done, they have all had very similar weaknesses and the fact that most of your mocks tend to receive similar ratings perhaps suggests that this is because you are not really listening and implementing feedback. If you're happy with this and simply enjoy designing and making mocks in the way that you are then this is fine but if you truly are looking to improve I would try to listen to feedback a bit more.

Because of the lack of any form of difference to your previous mocks and the fact that I can't really imagine a TV channel using these on screen it has to be a 1/5 for now but I do look forward to further edits you make using the feedback of others.
