I was thinking, and what if Sky was to show Sunrise on Sky1 as well as Sky News... That then made me think about it changing and becoming completely different, it no longer just being another Sky News programme, Sky Sunrise is a show centred around news, but with fun and banter thrown in, it's logo orange, similar to GMTV's colour theme. Sky Sunrise is this:

I Like the logo, maybe without the Sky bit just calling it Sunrise? I think the mock has potential.

That's better, better than your Daybreak mock

It's a dodgy logo stuck over a stock image of London. Real potential. Stop talking **** and learn some basic design principles.

Great logo. Sky news should use that to show Sunrise over on Sky1 HD

I haven't touched this design in a while so I thought I'd make some graphics and design a studio for Sky Sunrise. The graphics are based on the current Sky News graphics just with some colour changes.
Oh, and sorry about the window fail...

Hope you like it! Constructive criticism more than welcome!

It is horrible. Far to bright and no care took in matching up background 'window' images in the studio. Nice use of Google Street View for the live location shot. Rolling Eyes

I tried to match the windows, but after around fifty minutes of trying with no success I thought that I'd better'd upload anyway.

Of course! You don't want to miss your 'hourly upload of sh*t to TV Forum' timescale do you?

To me, it feels more like a Sunset than a Sunrise.

I don't like the name on the name strap being shoved in a corner, with the headline of the story on the left, and then the occupation being below - it looks odd. In general, the graphics look quite dark and murky, and not very nice for an early morning!

I'm going to post this, again, and make a point:

The mock image above is simple, includes a generic Sunrise-y image, adheres to Safe areas (although that isn't a gripe with yours), and additionally, doesn't look atrocious, like some of these Breakfast TV mocks. It's incredibly basic, and includes a very dull logo of 'Sunrise', and a Sun, but it looks mildly better than the dull stuff you've produced.
