Nice mocks, but the ticker should end when the text moves into the clock.

Keep up the good work!

Got to say, it's alright but I'd be happier to see people develop for 16:9 safe instead of 4:3 safe as it's seriously restrictive. I'd accept someone slapping a HD tag onto it if only to justify using most of the 16:9 frame.

One problem to me is the football scores, pick one angle and stick with it.

I LIKE THEM! they're very good. Better than the tripe they have on now (too American IMHO)

Only thing is the ticker, I personally think its too far to the centre of the screen, so a lot of the ticker is being covered

What are you chatting about? Safe areas?

Seeing as the only way you can get Sky News is now through digital systems, it needn't be 4:3 safe any more anyway.

Very MSNBC-ish. I like. Very Happy

(These are MSNBC's graphics, for those not in the know.)

Really, would never have guessed it was MSNBC Rolling Eyes Razz

Personally I think it looks more like sky sports news, although yes it is also very MSNBC-ish.

Sky Sports News was my inspiration for this design, obviously with the current suggestions that both SSN & Sky News may adopt a similar house design style.

That doesn't mean people aren't watching it on 4:3 CRT monitors with loads of overscan though. Look at News 24 and their clock in the 16:9 safe area and the number of complaints they got*.

*Even disregarding the 14:9 ARC for simulcasts, which did cause real problems with the clock, there was a sizable amount of complaints.

As usual, they are technically good, but I find the style and design to sporty/harsh, and very American/Australian, but considering your location, that is understandable.
