Mock Design Challenge Runner Up!

The result of a brainstorming session of "how else can we represent six other than SIX or 6" is six.tv - the channel is represented solely by the pattern of dots found on everybody's favourite face of a dice, supplemented by it's website address when required.

Trails:

The start of a trail is contains the same six dots motif, with a zoom in to the top right dot which contains the trail video. The endboard forms up by zooming back out through the lower left dot, and then the text on screen slides out from the middle.

Here's a generic endboard template - it would be acceptable to just use a plain background colour if there is no suitable imagery available, or if it's just for a quick announcement.

And a "coming up" screen...

Any colour can be used, but the colours chosen will be strong yet dark colours, which where possible should be related to the programme.

IPP:

ECPs:
Where the ECP is trailing a programme, the colour scheme and background image from it's trail should be used.
http://home.vis-is.co.uk/data/mocks/six/ecp.jpg
For generic announcements and information, a blurred background with a more subtle colour than normally should be used.

Idents:
The idents are based upon the idea of "six perspectives". In this example, 6 different types of clouds come together to form the end screen shown.

http://home.vis-is.co.uk/data/mocks/six/ident_clouds.jpg

The background develops quickly from a nighttime state to day, while the six circles gently fade one at a time in vision with normal speed visuals. Once the six circles have all appeared, the background slows down to normal speed, and the next programme's name appears as it is announced. The six circles will then gently alter their translucency on a loop.

As other's have said, if others like the idea, I'll work on some more aspects.

The dots remind me of the Nine Network in Australia.

Nicely done, well thought out, bright, with not that many patches of the same colour.

On the "coming up" screen, the times could be moved a bit to not interfere with the circles.

I too, quite like this.
I've given it 4/5, however, I'd like the ability to vote again noted when you make the extra aspects to the project.

I love the concept of the logo - it's very rare nowadays for channels to even have a logo which is a logo, rather than just their company name in a box or circle or a stylised font. Not too sure on the overall design - there's something there, but I don't think it's making best use of the logo.
