It's a great app - really enjoy playing with it!

A nice to have would be some classic style bidding (I.e before Best Bidding came in). Probably a bit of an ask though!

I think bidding without Best Bidding would require more than 25 phone lines, and a way to charge calls per-minute instead of per call. However, I'd quite like to see it too. There are a couple of minor graphic changes that happened between the old style and Best Bidding, too.

Yep just a few subtle changes (one ticker instead of 2, and the split leaderboard/bid again board)

The blue ticker drops down ever so slightly, and there's an extra spot on the leaderboard too! Smile

I would like to see the chevron graphics included. They rotated to quantity sold as well as quantity left.

The arrow graphics did quantity sold and percentage sold (in yellow) for a brief period too.

I'm currently working on a recreation of the chevron graphics - I can't believe just how misaligned they are, even though it's difficult to see on screen - if DanielC wants, I'd happily provide all the stuff I've used, if the simulator heads towards a more modern theme.

Would be amazing to go even further back to the very original bid-up.tv graphics & set:

Plus the very first price-drop.tv set.

In saying that, how good would an iBuy simulator be? For me, their studio & graphics were always a cut above the rest.

It's been mentioned in a post a few pages back that this was not the very original graphics and set.

That Youtube clip was between the original era and the orange arrow era, dating from about 2001/2.

You're absolutely correct.. this was the original graphics and set as far as I'm aware:

My bad anorak - totally forgot that original era!

Makes sense now as I always remember with the second graphics / set after this, the blue background stings in between auctions never really matched the new look of the channel.

How did they close auctions back then with out the gavel? Did they use a timer?
HE

I was only 9 at the time when those graphics were live, so my memory's sketchy at best.

As far as I'm aware, the auctions closed without timers with the auctioneer just announcing that the lot was closing.

Here are a couple more pics of the original set:
