Not too sure at the moment, haven't had much time to spend on it the past couple of weeks. Gonna try and find some time this weekend to work on more of the new studio models, so hopefully sometime in the next few weeks.
Any news on when the next version is coming out?

We all love and appreciate the work you've put into this wonderful simulator and as you've given it us for nothing I would argue you work on it as and when you can on your own schedule and if there is no new version for a long while then so be it.
Thank you for the simulator by the way

It's great that Daniel has been able to take most, maybe all our suggestions on board for each update too. You can see he's put a lot of love and care in to this.

I've not been on TVF much this year... So many months behind but this is the most geekdom but amazing thing I've seen/dabbled with when I seen earlier this week! Alongside the Sport DOG thread it was a good week to pop back in!!
This needs 15 stars not 5 stars. Imagine how many TV shows you could do this for. Seriously top drawer.

I didn't want to seem pushy about the next update, I'm just looking forward to it. I agree that you should be able to work on it when you want to.

Daniel, which programming language are you using in Unity for the core routines of the simulator? If C#, I'll put together a library for you that you can plugin to emulate bidders (and dropping customers) more realistically; and add support for pre-bestbidding bidding; and expose all the data you need to populate your UI. If nothing else - it would be something to learn from or take ideas from

Thanks for your comments guys, I'm really glad you're enjoying it
Yeah I'm using C# for this project. Wow that would be very kind of you! That would be a great help and very much appreciated!
On the subject of best bidding, was just wondering what was different about the auctions before it switched to that? I think I only started watching about a year or so after they changed.

In those days, what you bid was what you paid if you were a winning bidder. So if the arrow was at £10 when the auction closed, and you bid £80; then you'd end up paying £80.
Extremely high bids were usually disqualified - there were sometimes bids in the thousands for a product that only cost a couple of hundred quid, so they'd discount those.
I'm guessing that's were the profit was though, and why they switched format to falling price not long after changing to BestBidding.
Calls were charged per minute so that you could stay on the line throughout the auction and increase your bid whenever you liked or needed to.
This video, squashed formatting aside, shows the graphics from that era - the main differences were the lack of a second ticker and the split leaderboard/bid again board graphic.

Hah, I capped that from VHS back in like 2002. Surprised it's still doing the rounds.
On that note, I found a crap load of Videos from the orange graphic days (would love to see those in the sim) on an old DVD:
