I'll admit, I do rather like the "box-style" logos, particularly the CBBC one which is a major step in the right direction. The only thing I'm wondering is how they could be incorporated into individual pres packages and idents.

CBBC - excuse the crudity as it was just a quick photoshop, perhaps this could be a new ident?

Nothing wrong with taking someone else's idea and developing it further or along different lines, provided you credit / link to the person who gave you the basis of your idea. After all a good number of designs in this section are based on other peoples work they've seen on tv.
The only time it gets annoying is when the new thread is the same idea with only miniscule changes.
However, I don't think this was worthy of a new thread and you posted in the correct place, unless you intend to create a complete mock based on this quick idea.

I'll agree with what others have said as far as they go in general.
However; the Radio 1/1x and 2 logos. Radio 1/1x's current colour is black, while radio 2 has orange. Is there really a need to change this? Black was chosen for 1/1x to look youthful yet not 'fun' while orange is generally considered a 'heppy' colour.
I prusume you changed them so that they could be uniform with the tv colours, but is this really necessary? TV1 is red, Radio1 is black, TV2 is blue/green Radio2 is orange, TV3 is pink, Radio3 is red. So regardless of the change to 1/2 three still doesn't conform...
