I made a version of the set of BBC Studio TC7 whilst doing the BBC News at Six in Google Sketchup.

I'm aware of a few bugs such as scale, and the rubbish Breakfast sofa, but does anyone have any other suggestions. or backdrops I could use to make the Newsnight version of the studio?

The main problem here is that it is in google sketchup which is too basic. If you have interest in 3d developing, use lightwave 3d or carrara.

I'd disagree with that, and say that it's simply that it's not been rendered properly.

Try Kerkythea, a free SketchUp renderer plug-in. Here is an example of something rendered in Kerkythea.

My only suggestion would be to make the 'baking trays' grey and not black- like the floor.

I wonder if you can help me. How do you get images resized to fit on the walls? everytime I make a new material with the image,it ends up with heaps of little tiled images. I've had this trouble since I got the program. HELP!

Click on File, then Import. Select the image you want from your computer, make sure that 'Use As Texture' is selected on the right, and click open. Drag the image onto whatever flat surface you want to texture to the correct size, and click.

Couldn't you do one of Studio 7 of the London Studios?!

I'm not sure I could, the studio shape is odd, it'll be hard to get the London views to look realistic, and I'm not that great at making a new style studio, I find it easier to make current ones.

However, I'm happy to take suggestions of a regional/national studio?
