I have to agree. Regardless of the attempts of the 'Nations' to appease the nationalists, the fact is Wales Today, Reporting Scotland and Newsline are regional programmes - they cover the news in their region of the United Kingdom and include zero news from the rest of the UK or globally. Therefore, imo, there shouldn't be international or non-Scotland UK cities included (and I personally wouldn't include the globe in the title sequence as they currently do).
Back to the mock though - looks good! Looking forward to seeing how it progresses.
Seems stupid having international locations.

I managed to get it looking fairly 3D in AE, I'll dig out the old AEP and see if I can give you any hints
I think what you've achieved is great without any real 3D tools

Regional place-names in place and start of form-up animation.
MDTA - This is all After Effects, I don't know 3DSMax alas.

That would be most helpful Mike, and my eventual plan is a sort of hybrid 1999 / Current with a bit more of the local flying map to take place.

Ok if you import a very thin and long solid/image, and then duplicate it for each line. Then you arrange them to go from placename to placename in 3D space, and make it a comp which continuously rasterizes, that may allow you to place and rotate it in another comp.
But I havn't tried it myself so don't quote me on it.
