Anglia TV had always served the Northampton area since 1959. However, on 1 January 1993, Anglia TV decided to give the Northampton area its very own TV station. And thus, Northampton Television was born.

Northampton Television's first ident had a purple river with a yellow and red cube. It also had a triumphant version of the 1989 ITV jingle. Sorry for a bad VHS capture of this ident.

Northampton Television introduced a new Meridian-esque ident in 1996, but their jingle remained the same however.

The background changed colors and the URL was added to the ident in the fall of 1998.

Have you not nicked the bid TV logo in your first few pictures?

If the original design's not up to scratch, adding ageing affects will achieve absolutely nowt.

You're not spending anywhere near enough time on these and patience runs out quickly here.

A box. Very innovative.
I hope you weren't inspired by my eye (or even ear) rapingly awful LTV mocks on YouTube (shudders).

I'm rather worried by your attempts to portray the idents as if they actually happened; I.e. "sorry for bad image quality, due to VHS captures."

If you are posting under the delusion that these actually existed, there's a bloke called Williams you should meet.

To be fair, it is a what if and so it's supposed to be presented as real life. APFS galleries used to do this.

'Bad VHS capture'? Would love to know what ones you've been using as a reference - the chroma looks fantastic. Even the best regular VHS cap would have smudged that bright red up, good and proper.

As a bit of trivia, we did have a "Northants TV" station but was limited to satellite.

As for the mock, it's quite garish. Confused
