Here's just another idea I made, designed for a more serious news program like Channel 4 News or Newsnight.
Wide shot:
BBC News style desk with window over the newsroom (this would obviously be full of desks and people working, to be completed)
Presenter and screen for interviews and graphics:
Video wall for standing up presentation and weather:
Sofa area, similar style to ITV Regional studios - could be used for interviews and discussions, and more light hearted stories:
