Currently experimenting with some new animations. It'd be good to know what you all think:

Is this in PowerPoint? If so, wow! I didn’t know how much you could do with it.

I honestly quite like having the text sliding in while the bars appear alongside it. Makes it feel a lot more smoother and less jarring when it appears.

While looking through the thread, I'd love to see, like most other people, a style similar to that of Radio 1's geo-morphic shapes, with the BBC Three "II!" logo, and although that's unrelated to Newsbeat, I think encorporating both that style on Radio 1 and on BBC Three could easily tie the brands together without merging them into a new youth group, just slowly tieing their co-operation with youth audiences. Newsbeat could easily go for that same style with a more centric styling and a more enthusastic tone.

Can only mirror what others have said for the most part. I'm a member of the aforementioned friend group so I've already given some feedback. I quite like the 3rd animation in the recent video, fits very well.

Sliding smoothly up from the bottom (version two in the video) looks the slickest in my opinion, BBI45. Nice work.

I'll start off by saying that I am currently on holiday, and as a result, haven't had too much time to work on this. This means I've not done too much work. However, after a fight to get a decent mobile signal (because of holiday park Wi-Fi limits), I do want to share this and make sure that I'm taking it in the right direction.

Is there a lower thirds setting inside VSDC Video Editor?

Please do experiment with the Mother Design Radio 1 graphics!

Not sure how to explain it, so I've put together a short clip, which shows each individual element that's animated. Just keep in mind that the original backdrop is light blue:

It looks ok, but is very simple.

Overall, it's quite good - I do like the transitions and the music and I'd definitely like to see this developed further.

Which music did you use?

I like it. Although the Breaking News but doesn't quite look as polished as the rest and the last bit of the opening animation looks a bit cheap. But the begging of the intro is brilliant and I can see it really working and appealing to the THREE! demographic. I can see this almost mirroring ITN's rundown.
