So its been a slow christmas but I have been busy thinking of a fresh way to evolve the BBC brand. Keeping the BBC logo exactly as it is whilst introducing a new typography for all BBC operations / logos.

BBC One, Two, Three, Four and News have all been started as seen below, will start work on CBBC, CBeebies, Parliament, and Alba whilst also looking at BBC World News and other identities such as BBC Cymru Wales. Feedback is appreciated

This is OK, but the font for the channels is awful. And if does not work for the channels, or the news. It kind of works for 'now' 'next' and 'later' but the rest it doesnt

The channel name font is poor and the BBC logo is mostly presented too small (see news channel DOG for ultimate case in point).

The translucent menu shapes are ok although inconsistent.
You could have the very, very start of something with those.

Simple doesnt have to mean bland. Research some current continental brand identites for example and comparison. Smile

They look very promising IMO - quite like the style and the layout. The font isn't what you expect from the BBC, but that's all the more reason to stick with it - we've seen with Martin's mocks what happens when you try and please the masses, so stick to your guns on it. What's the point in having a mock forum if you stick to the fonts and styles you expect from the BBC?

The only place I think it doesn't really work is on the BBC News clock - maybe ditch the red/black and go with white and grey as the title card is. I do agree with Jonny too the BBC logo needs to be bigger.

I'd really encourage you to stick with these though - look forward to seeing how they might develop.

This is ok, maybe improve the fonts and the next slides and you'll be fine.

It definitely beats the crap out of my mock! I just don't like the font and how the BBC logo is small. Good job, Mokked!

Oh and if you r keeping the channel font, adjust the spacing between the letters they are a bit too far apart..

I think applying the same font to BBC News is just too far, I find it a little childish for News.
