Here's a recreation I've made of BBC Studio N6 - it isn't precisely measured as I don't have any blueprints or measurements, but I've made it as realistic as possible based on pictures and videos. I made it in Google Sketchup, if anyone wants the skp file then PM me, thanks

Why have you used a telescope in Slovakia for Disaster in New York??

Laughing I just searched for a panoramic picture which would fit the length of the Barco, they're just made up

I'm fairly sure that the lightbox over the desk/rostrum is about twice as wide as the one over the 'standing' area.

That may help with some of the dimensions. The rostrum is also very close to the right-hand and rear walls, more so than you indicate.

Otherwise it's an good start! Very Happy

What relevance does that have to the design, Rich? Clearly none. So why bring it up, it's a place holder. You are judging the graphic design not content use.

Thanks for the constructive feedback, I'll post an update tomorrow with these rostrum adjusted - and btw, the lightboxes are sized that way, it's the angle that makes them look like they are similar sizes - although it doesn't look that way in real life, so I'll change that too Smile

I gave him 3 stars for effort, Mike!

I was just asking. That's all.

Would you say this is better? I've now included what is presumably a cable cover behind the rostrum that is seen in real life.

Also, does anyone have any ideas for another studio set to make? It needs to be reasonably simple shaped (the limitations of Sketchup Sad ) and have enough pictures and textures to base it upon. It can be from any era, or any country Wink

How about N6 from 1999-2003? I loved when they added more red in 2002:

What's that strange red stick in the above picture of N6 with Huw? Towards the left.

The current ITV News studio? Ignoring the textures and colours, it's a fairly simple setup surely? And I wouldn't have thought it difficult to get photos for or (frankly) create a basic representation of them?

Nice update woah. I think that's certainly closer to the true position of the rostrum.

That's a small LCD screen for the weather presenter, which shows them what's on the back-projection screen without having to turn the back of their head to the camera.
