I second this. Technically speaking it is good but I far preffered Jamez' Nine O'Clock News meets David Lowe remix (I'm sure that was him).

No worries! I was going through some old data CDs a few months ago and I remember finding it, so it was easy to locate it again last night. It seems I downloaded it in November 2002, so it looks to be almost 10 years old this year. Unless of course it's even older and someone just re-posted it then. But either way, it's pretty old now!

Another thanks for me for sharing - the Mix O'Clock News is good but nothing spectacular for me. The Nine/David Lowe mash-up on the other hand is just bloody fab!

Hi Guys

This is James - or 'Jamez' some of you may remember me as.

I discovered the link to this topic from YouTube's analytics. Last night, I tried to sign up to TV Forum again under a slightly more obvious username to thank you for your comments. However, the username was immediately banned at the approval stage.

TV Forum's moderator banned me way back in June 2003. Almost 10 years ago. I was a stupid teenager back then. Now, I'm almost 30 and I like to think my days of online silliness are well and truly over.

However, this is your forum and I half expect to be immediately banned once again. If that's the case, then that's your choice. It'll say more about you than it does me.

Either way, thank you for the comments on the remix. It wasn't created to be critiqued - just a bit of fun - but all of you have made good points. I especially liked the comment about 'expecting a bigger climax'. I agree with that.

My intention was for the main programme theme to kick in at 3'30" and subsequently merge into the other themes (inc. Breakfast News), but I had already spent too much time on it (and these days, time is money) so I ended it fairly abruptly at 3'33", whacked it onto YouTube along with a shoddily Photoshopped picture and pretty much forgot about it.

Perhaps when I have more time, I'll realise my original intention Smile

Did you also do the other mix seen in this thread, of David Lowe meets the 9 O'Clock news, or whatever it is? If so, you deserve to be congratulated, as it is superb.
