Lorraine - Recreation/Mock

Ok, I thought I would give the new Lorraine graphics a try at recreating them. But then I thought how people didn't like (I'm assuming this) the way they are using the old name straps, etc. instead of creating new ones, so I created some in the style of the new Shop & Price strap (which is the coming up strap but animates on and off).



If you like it then I'll continue and (re)create the newspaper graphics and the 'Contact Us' graphic, etc.

(I know the 'shudder' when the animations play/move is a bit annoying, but that's what happens in Vegas Movie Studio)

Excellent work, probably the best thing you have produced. The animations are great. I think the 'coming up' graphics (with the time) are too big though, they cover a lot of the screen.

Love the name animation and the L moving down to bottom left. Your transitions are bang on. A very faithful recreation of the current graphics. Very good.

I take it you used PowerPoint and chromakeyed out the background?

Yes, each animation is made up of multiple layers though, so on on the blue circle and white circle transition it's just the blue circle and a red circle, I then chroma keyed out the red and replace with the white background and pink Lorraine logo on top.

I disagree - only because the quality of the output isn't that fab. Try recreating it in AfterEffects or something similar!

They are pretty faithful to the new Lorraine look. I like it. Great job.

Not a huge fan of recreations, and it's really difficult to judge when it's a recreation of something I really don't like in the first place. You've done a good job but would much rather see you now take the logo and idea and improve upon it - at the very least get rid of the awful clock they use!
