Local Elections (BBC News Special) - Mock Opening Titles

This is a mock opening title sequence for a BBC News Special about the 2011 UK Local Elections.

The idea was to use a darker, moodier theme for the local election coverage, rather than the brighter, more upbeat visuals and music used in previous years.

This is very much a work in progress, and as you can see I have only featured the three main party leaders. UKIP, the Greens, BNP etc would all have to be featured in some way for this to be politically balanced before broadcast.

I hope you like it - comments very welcome. More videos and title sequences to come . . .

The only problem I have with the titles is the lens flare shown when Edward Miliband appears on screen. It looks like he has a spot on his face. Other than that though, they are quite nice.

Is it really appropriate to feature national leaders' faces on a local election programme's titles?

That's what I thought. If it were a general election, fair enough, but not local. Besides that I do like the design.
