As you may or may not know, this is my debut mock on TVF. Let's start with that Yle vs ITV mash-up I promised in the ITV News thread. By the way, sorry for the bad quality source material - this was taken hastily from a breaking news broadcast back in 2007.

(Yes, I know I should make the aston clock smaller.)

Titles are great, but astons are stupidly massive... perhaps a rethink of them, otherwise good.

I'd like you to see if you can improve this mock because it shows promise.

The titles are just a download and edit of the ITV News graphics. I could have done that!! D:

Okay ideas just not original enough for this site.

Meh, as a rule if SRS likes it, it's good enough for this site.

Just my observation.

The only thing I can really say about it is that it seems you've used good software, but I think more technical ability and (crucially) practice is required. Keep safe areas in mind - the safe areas template is often quoted, but I find it easier to try and use a screencap as a template - have a look at the BBC News graphics, or the Sky News graphics, and use them for safe areas and scale.

I think it would also help to use still images, or leave the background blank, as that gives you more time to animate and transition, and doesn't restrict what you make.

No not a god, but take a look at some of the work SRS has done and you'll soon understand....
