Quite like it, except the yellow bars on the left, too much like ITV News. I can see what you are trying to do though.
If you want to get some yellow in, why not have a fading yellow sky.
I love all the white though, and the ITV1 logo with cut out snowflakes it quite clever. Well done.
Sorry yes this would be an ident.
the way it will animate is the trees moving form the wind with magical sparkles flying around.
hmm ok i'll have ago at the yellow and see if it works.
thanks.
V.nice. Not too keen on the merry christmas tho. Apart from the garish format of it, I think the snowflakes, snow and wintery feel says christmas enough. Good on the whole, I could see it working. Seems more of a logo board than a full on ident
I disagree. I think it looks tacky, the snowflakes in the logo look awful. It's full of '3D' look bevels and has random yellow stripes on the left hand edge that make it look as though the screen is faulty. At most this deserves a 2.
To improve it I'd drop the Merry Christmas and the yellow lines, maybe remove the colour from the logo and make it monochrome.
I can see what the poster above is saying, by the time it had been encoded, and particularly in SD, those snowflakes on the logo would look more like gunshots.
I'd be inclined to make the snowflakes shiny-white, and not as part of the logo itself.
No-one says mocks have to be computer-generated. If you're better at drawing, there's absolutely nothing to stop you printing out a 16x9 rectangle and drawing your idea (in coloured pencil, not felt-tip) on paper and scanning it in.

Logos and things can be traced.
