ITV Website (itv.com)

This is my take on the ITV.com website following Macalolo and sstripling's attempts. The design has new and current elements from ITV.com.

Search bar needed, get rid of the gradients, lighter background colour on 'The Match', the fonts need to be readable and need to be a font that most computers have such as 'Arial', 'Verdana' etc. There seems to be no advert space for ITV to make money, and it just seems bland it needs some colour.

Its better than the other attemps. I agree though it does need a search bar.

-All the text is now in calibri apart from some headings.

(click for a larger image) When viewing, make sure the image enlarges in your browser to 100% and centralises it, so that you will see how it appears if it was real.

So, has it improved?

Much better. It has improved 100%. I think that that could be used as ITV's homepage. It doesn't seem cluttered and it all fits together nicely. Well done!

Thanks for that. I wasn't sure if I should have used the green text for the movie section, but obviously you like it.

I disagree, it still looks like a bad attempt of designing using MS Office 07/10.
* Get rid of the bevels
* Make the ITV.com logo normal and larger, and use one advert space next to it.
* Make the menu bar larger (vertically) and put the search bar on the right on it.
* The colour background on 'The Match' is still horrid.
* The small text used in 'Headlines', 'Latest Forecast' etc is too small.
* I don't like how the 'ITV1 Watch Now' bar extends off from the centre.
* Also I think that Calibre is still a font that many older computers don't have.

There's probably more.

Do you not think your being a bit critical, such as the point about calibri. I do agree with some of your points such at on advert space. Are you viewing the image at 100% because the 'headlines' 'latest forecast' seems fine.

Would you rather see more bars extend off the centre such as the footer, or just get rid of it?

Ill get rid of the inverted shadow on the logo, but it does not need to be larger.

Also it was not done in office, it was a mixture of Adobe fireworks and photoshop.

Better than the current website, and I can see that you have improved it a lot. Probably the best of all the itv.com mocks. welldone!

The size of the font is affecting the spacing and readability.


The two at the top are fine, I would like one at the bottom, but the one in the middle just seems odd, and breaks the page up.


Still think it's too small compared to some of the other main broadcasters.


Looks close to it though.

Version 3:
-3 Advertising spaces.
-Increased 'headline' etc text size
-Menu bar and logo are larger
-Logo has standard formatting
-'The match' Background - what should I do to it?
