ITV Regions 2009

I decided to play around in Photoshop, trying to improve ITV Central's new look. Although I think the astons are too big, their design is fine, so I didn't attempt to design them (yet). I'm not sure if I should continue, but here are the titles:








Any thoughts? It's not exactly anything original, nor are they polished. I am having trouble with the reflection on the final image, any suggestions?

The shadow of the logo is slightly better, better than before anyway. Maybe adjust the angle of it a bit more.

I also preferred the white glow on the logo rather than the 3D looking thing that you've done.

A quick mock of what I think the the look ITV regions should adopt.

As you can see it is based on the main 'network' titles but instead of todays stories being on the 'hero boards' generic images from around the region will appear instead, the movements around the boards will be the same for every region. I know I didn't use the ITV font but that is because I don't have it!

This is also a 'front board' as it will follow the same style as the main 'network' titles, thus at the end of the titles it will go straight to the studio.

That is the general idea of my mock as well.

They are both pretty dire sorry.

For me, it would make a great ITV1 regional ident (if replace 'Central Tonight' with ITV1 [Central] logo).
But, sadly, it doesn't look 'newsy' for me. Even in ITV News style.
