ITV North Regions with former Theme Tunes

Just as a bit of fun, I tried to look at matching some of the former ITV regional tunes to the current titles.

They're not perfect by any means but it's just trying to portray what I had in my head that some of the tunes seem to match up pretty well. Not breaking new ground here, I know that, It's just editing the titles to match the music obviously.

I did try it with more, but they were either too long, too short or completely the wrong rythmn. So the only ones I could get to match up was Yorkshire, Tyne Tees and Granada.

And with a big birthday for ITV coming up later this year, maybe the regions could mark it by designing something similar to this. Unlikely but you never know.

The Granada reports theme works incredibly well even down to the last few notes playing in time with the logo zoom out animation.

Granada definitely works, not sure about the other 2 but still good job. 3.5/5!

I've made some slight tweaks, taking in the comments and have changed the Tyne Tees and Calendar versions because I didn't think they quite worked either.

Interesting - they kind of work but not quite, which isn't too unusual for regional news themes.

Channel TV used the generic look but with their own theme for the 2004 squares and the teal. They've gone completely generic now - not sure about the yellow era in between.

They never adopted the yellow branding, simply keeping the teal until 2013.

Lucky them.

Can I just say how un-news-y and horrid the Calendar theme is compared to that great Tyne Tees theme.

Will all due respect RDJ, you haven't really made a mock. You've just put already existing music on already existing titles, varying the speed slightly. That's why I've rated it poorly - simply because it doesn't deserve the same recognition as other posts.
