A good few years ago (pre 2013 rebrand), ITV turned down a pitch to revamp the nightscreen service and bring it more into the brand.

Well they should just scrap the nightscreen or just call it 'Nightscreen' and not use ITV in the name.

I'm not saying they should change the nightscreen, that's up to them to decide, however I feel it should be bring into line with the ITV branding which ITV don't seem too bothered about. This mock is just to show how ITV could utilise the Nightscreen.

From my eyes, it looks out of the safe areas for 16:9. Also, fonts seem a tad small.

I'm sorry, I don' like this anymore.

James, there really is no point in continuing this. You've designed it very well but the entire concept is just too far from reality. There's no way a cheap filler like Nightscreen would carry an on-screen clock, date and ticker, never mind receive a fresh new look. As I said previously it's something more suited to a news channel or breakfast programme.

Correct, its way past 10% safe zone on the left side.

Its a mock, I'm not expecting them to even consider updating to a similar design.

However, I think I'll focus on my BBC music, and discontinue this project. I just wanted to give you all a V2, and now theres not really much point continuing this project. Thanks for all your feedback Smile

I for one like it.
It fits better with the itv brand. Surely they'd be able to lift the itv news headlines from the website for the ticker. I suppose the thinking would be that the news headlines could keep people's attention.

In this day I do wonder what place it has over airing trailers as a filler.
