Great to see a quality contribution to this thread offering something new, and really love the idea. Interesting to how video changes your perception - from the stills I wasn't sure about the programme logos and astons but in the video they absolutely work - my only irritation is that ITV DOG hovering above them.

I'm a big fan of the late 90s look and love the simplicity of it. It's clearly the inspiration here but I think the transitions need to be more imaginative - they're smoothly done but horizontal/veritcal wipe effect isn't the most creative. I feel the clockhands could probably come into play more here.

What I really like though is how News at Ten has it's own distinctive look yet remains firmly on brand. Agree with you though that the ITV News theme does work better than the News at Ten theme.

Overall though a really welcome contribution to the forum. Easily the best post of the year so far. Wink

I think this mock is Excellent. I would prefer to see this than the current box theme. ITV News has always been focused on the clock for years and I think they we're silly to almost get rid of it and just feature a short clip on the current titles.

I would also be very interested to know how you made the clock.

I wouldn't say they got rid of it - it's only there briefly but it's very prominent, probably more so than the 1999 and 2004 look.

Here's a little more. If you dislike the swiping animation, you'll love this Wink

The DOG still hovers in the middle of nowhere, and I quite like that! It's now looking a little more disjointed and quirky, which probably isn't to everyone's tastes but I like it. It's noice, it's diffrint.

I created the clock face in Adobe Illustrator, working from pictures. I then divided the clock face into several groups, imported these as masked solids in After Effects and used them as custom path layers in the Element plugin. Then fiddled around with bevels and textures until I was happy. The hands use the 'aux channels' feature of Element. I'm assuming you have some idea how these programs work!

What a gorgeous clock. Float the DOG where ever you like Lee. It IS noice, it IS diffrint, but it's not at all unusual for you to create a thing of such beauty. Love it!

I do like the swiping animation for the astons, just don't think it's the best way to do transitions in the titles. A fade might work better.

Prefer the original astons to be honest and not sure of the need for a text explanation of each story in the context of a bulletin. Perhaps though with this layout it would work better with the DOG dropped a line and expanded to say ITV News.

Really like the generic clock too and hope you stick with this over the next few weeks and ultimately develop a full package.

It DOES look a little more disjointed, but I have to say it's nice to see something fresh and different instead of the same-old-same-old we always seem to get on here.

I'm a huge fan of that rotating clockface. Please do keep developing this - best mocks I've seen on here in a long time.
