it looks like a brothel
I was about to say this, Amsterdam anybody?
if daybreak went to the red theme, this is how I would make the studios shell look like.
this is very basic and in early stages at the moment. as it always looks dark in the studio I went for a red light around the top of the studio. ive also lit up the base of the table. the window sizes have been reduced to avoid darkness in the early mornings and willl look a lot brighter with bright walls. Ive also moved the sofa area back to where it is now as people had posted that it looked better than where i put it so i listened to your feedback. ATM the studio is very dark in this picture but when finished willl be a lot brighter. Do you think its better with smaller windows? are the strip of lights at the top better?

Yes, might be a bit pointless that high up though...
Well at least they've got the windows for it.

I was thinking more BBC Breakfast.

The sofa is HUGE, and doesn't have a desk. I don't think interviews are going to work if the guest has to sit next to the interviewer!

do you think it would be better if they went back to two sofas?

Still not something I can see Daybreak doing, as it looks very Strictly Come Dancing! But I think the smaller windows are something Daybreak could achieve. Not by actually making the windows smaller as this would be pretty impossible, but by creating a set in front of them. Imagine GMTV, but instead of having a fake backdrop, you have the window. The wall coverings are a nice idea, but the brickwork looks old fashioned - think Blue Peter, OK!TV new studio. But an improvement on the brothel-esque one a few posts ago.

it was the 'OK!TV When Bruv Takes over/CBB bit on the side' studio that I had the idea from. I also agree that the red didn't work and the purple looks better.
