Absolutely love the idea that ITV would broadcast a badly-filmed, shaky 30 second clip of somebody changing the TV channel immediately before one of their programmes.

That person is me changing the channel. Were you being sarcastic?

I like to imagine that they are turning over from another channel to ITV.

Good.

It would probably work better if it showed you pressing '3' on the remote. Even then it's still not a realistic concept for this set of idents which uses highly stylised, professional videography, not shaky home video footage.

I pressed '1', '0', then '3' for ITV HD.

Yeah… but we can't see you doing it

Every time you post a new ident you make exactly the same mistakes as you did last time, so you haven't actually improved.

On each ident, you get the movement wrong. Look how little the colours actually change during 'Light Snow'.

I'd suggest that you look closely at the movement in ITV's existing idents. You won't be able to recreate ITV's idents yourself by filming some phone footage. The best thing you could do is find some stock footage which would fit with the 'colour picking' idea.

I didn't want to use stock footage, I wanted to use my own footage.

But its 4K footage, which instantly makes it better than what ITV are currently using because that's only HD.

Well yes, it's literally "higher quality", but it's not higher quality concept wise. ITV get together groups of people and film them like mini-movies, something a mocker cannot realistically do.

Agree with what others have said though - you have the ability to do the colour picking on footage, but the footage itself is never of sufficient quality to actually make an ident. As others have outlined, the camera on a phone probably won't cut it, and there needs to be a bit more to it than shakily moving your arm around some random objects in a bedroom. This mock from pip2 of an ITV ident doesn't use any real footage but is executed very well - nice use of depth of field, slow and smooth movement, with a good scene/object/scenario to focus on.
