It was a consideration for my next design. I'm not 'digging a hole', I've already said I've accepted the comments. It might help if you actually read my posts before having a go? I've 'moaned' at one person because of their completely unhelpful and useless comment. I haven't moaned at anybody that's given constructive criticism Rolling Eyes .

Have you got a 16:9 TV? Because I'm pretty sure at least 85% (if not more) of the country does. Sky News only broadcasts in 16:9 as well, it's not a huge deal.

Keep the clock in 16:9, I agree. Unfortunately, some viewers are moronic (as seen on Twitter) However, still keep the graphics within the 16:9 safe area as flatscreens *can* cut off as much as 10%.

The thing with breakfast TV is that while many people have a widescreen TV, many also only have a little 4:3 set in the kitchen or whatever, so these types of programme constantly get complaints from people not being able to see the clock properly.

The 14:9 safe area (not shown on that template) is probably as good as you can get these days and still be acceptable by the majority of viewers.

[And yes, it is important, even if it's in a mock, because if your clock has to be in an annoying location that compromises your design, you have to find a way around it for the mock to be any good]

Initial thoughts please? There are transitions, but I wanted to show you a screenshot before I make the video. Ditched the clock, everything should be in 4:3 safe now.

This design is loosely based off GMA, but even still, I think it's different and not just a vanity project like my other work.

A lot better and much more colourful!

On keynote, use 'Move In' with bounce off from the left instead if you are still planning to use the wipe effect

Thank you. Strangely enough, I'm using the 'Move In', but without the bounce. The 'Happening Today' box comes in from right to left and the main box comes in from left to right. It creates an interesting effect.

You did a better job, but the font looks like it could be for the Futuristic Broadcasting Network......

I thought it was quite similar to ITV Reem. I'm not sure how to get ITV Reem into Keynote (or Font Book)

I think what you need to do is choose a different font that is basic, and doesn't have to necessarily have to look like ITV Reem.
