Good Morning Britain

I used to think the GMB graphics were excellent, but, recently, they've stopped showing the ticker after about 7:45am and taken away the weather graphic, leaving it looking asymmetrical and a bit lacking in my opinion. I have created my own set of graphics, based on the original (April 2014) GMB graphics, with a few tweaks of my own, for example, incorporating the gold of the logo into the main graphics more, and including the contact details on screen at all times.

I have uploaded a video so that you can see the graphics 'in action'.

I have put a fair bit of thought and time into this, (whether you believe that having seen my mock or not!). I know it's not perfect, but I feel it's a decent enough start. Do please let me know what you think.

P.S. I know there's already lots of GMB mocks on here. Apologies if you rolled your eyes at the very idea of this!

Very good! The aston for "John Stapleton" should really be bigger, the same size as a two liner, other than that, its fab!

They work well. Like other have said it may be a bit small, and the clock is outside the 4:3 area - you know how people like to complain. It's a nice evolution. The problem is that all of these GMB mocks are making me want to do one myself.

I am particularly touched by those of you who said that this is one of the best GMB mocks on this site. I have been working on this for a while, and I was obviously pleased with it or I wouldn't have bothered posting it, but, as a first-time 'mocker', I certainly didn't expect that. Thank you.

Having taken on board your comments, I have made changes. I have attached two still images to this comment so that you can see those changes.

I have resized the old name strap so that is it the same height as the old contact box (@DanielK, I took on board your comment regarding it being twice its original size but I felt it looked far too big compared to the rest of the graphics so I reduced it again slightly. I hope you'll find its resizing suitable nevertheless). I have completely changed the contact box so that it takes up less space on screen. I have made the entire set of graphics entirely 14:9 safe with the whole ticker and white information strap being 4:3 safe. The text size of every single element of the mock has been increased as per people's suggestions.

Please tell me what you think, and whether it is worth animating these, akin to my initial video.

Second image of your updated set has two problems: a) Air pollution + New This Morning repeated twice on-screen is a bit redundant and one of the two headlines should either be different text or just removed, and b) in general seems too cluttered with the OTS, GMB logo, ticker, aston, coming up box, twitter promo and clock all appearing at once. A tiny bit overwhelming, but very good ideas in general.

@tmorgan96 - Thanks for the feedback. I see what you mean. I think that (real) GMB use the same 'headline' in the main white box as they do in the OTS too, but you are right that it seems slightly redundant. Something related to the story, in this case, e.g. 'ASTHMA WARNING' might work better for the OTS. The OTS 'NEW THIS MORNING' definitely seems redundant on reflection, and I will change the OTS graphic to show the itvNEWS logo instead. Regarding the cluttered-ness, these stills are purposefully full to show all of the graphics at once without having to upload 20 different images. The 'coming up' graphic, for example would only come on screen for ten seconds or so at a time maybe twice or thrice a half-hour, so it wouldn't constantly look as busy as this. If you remove the 'warning' box and the name aston from image one, that would be the 'default'.
