GMTV Graphics mock

Right. So, since September '09, GMTV's graphics have gone out of place because they've used their new machine. So I've used Keynote (Of all the software) to re create some of the graphics, and also change and make some new ones too. As outlined below -

- Given the title cap a new background to a sharper, more orange design with clean watermarked GMTV logo so it looks more 'newsier'.
- Also put the graphics in line with the original design, using the bubble design for the date and coming up slides.
- The aston has also gone to it's original instead of going off the screen and making it look unbalanced and out of place.
- A few new graphics. A small weather graphic which will be in the bottom left of the screen, which will show the weather for some areas in the UK. And also for now, an election monitor with latest poll details.
- The News also had a slight change, using On Screen graphics rather than a monitor in the background. Could have the presenter in front of the greenscreen and use the ocean/teal background or have the presenter in the newsroom or use the news set.

Can you post the background you used for the GMTV Logo - great mock !

I love the background you have used, looks very Channel 7 Sunrise and the smaller logo looks better imo. Also, with tweaking, the weather strap could look great also! Keep at it, very pleasing!

Ah, it's a good mock with the software, however some things look Ameteurish and I dislike the new TOTH endcap. I also don't like the white background in the 'Coming Up' section, and the Election graphics don't fit in. I do like some straps you've bought in though.

I disagree with some points here Critique. I love the election strap, it could work well on TV at the moment! And I do particularly like the TOTH endcap - maybe one of my fave aspects of this work?!!

4:3 and badly compressed (are those JPEGs?). The animation is crude and it's not as aesthetically pleasing as their current graphics, sorry.

Thank you all so far for the comments. I'm happy that people are ok with it. I agree about the animations, and to be honest, I don't expect GMTV with a 7 month old graphics computer to use Keynote style graphics, but that was used as an idea as to what can be and how it would work together. IMO, you don't need a HUGE logo on the title endcap, and you certainly DON'T need it to zoom right at you. So the small 'scale' animation I've given it works well and isn't too IN YOUR FACE. The Weather graphic can do with some work, including some nice, not Google Images symbols! I'm going to carry on working at it. I wasn't expecting to do the whole thing like I did. ]

One thing I would also like to add is that in an ideal World, the background would animate. And some aspects were taken from Channel 7 Sunrise actually!

One piece of feeedback i would like is what you think about the news idea?
