GMB meets Sky News

I gave it another go of using the news Sky News astons as the GMB ones. Those who commented on the previous said to change the logo from being boxy to more round.

I only used a breaking news strap in this video. The generic strap would be blue. Coming up is teal as seen.

Thoughts on this?

I'm not a fan of the gaps between the presenters names. It would be better being a solid strap with a thin line between them.

I agree with JD. I'm not a fan of the logo 'shutting' between each headline. I'd prefer a live style wipe with the 'breaking news', 'new this morning', 'top story' etc. Shouldn't the breaking news strap have 'Breaking News' somewhere or would the idea be to just use the colours?

I do like the logo and think it works better in a line amongst on screen graphics than the current. Would the logo work with the current logo font in a line?

Yes I agree with that. The GMB logo should only be at the start and end of title sequence.

Really like it. Whilst agreeing with all the comments above, I also think it needs to be snappier, to make it seem more professional. I would also like to see you do something different with the logo in the top left of the screen. I also think that the clock should stay the same colour whether news is breaking or whatever, just for continuity. But I really like you demonstration of skills, and think it's a great mock to show how the new sky news graphics could work really well for GMB.

Would you consider doing this design for ITV News using the current colour scheme and logo? I'd love to see how that would look.
